Stay Classy

tank, Brandy Melville | skirt, Nordstrom (similar) | hat, Topshop | shoes, old (love one & two) | necklaces, old (try these) | bag, H&M on sale! | watch, Michael Kors

I looove toughening up a girly piece, like this asymmetrical skirt, with a sassy graphic tee. I'd say this is a look I may feel the most comfortable in. It appears effortless and you can wear it practically anywhere. I suggest always keeping some layering necklaces around too. They add so much to even the most plain of plain outfits.

I've been to Vegas twice in the last two weeks and cannot seem to catch up on sleep! It's making work difficult. Yet, I seem to continue taking trips at every possible moment I can. Life's too short, right? Next stop: San Francisco. I'm thinking of purchasing a GoPro camera before the trip. What do you guys think of them? Is it worth it? Or would it be wiser to spend that money on a DSLR? Let me know!!

I've got a ton of fun Nasty Gal pieces coming your way! Definitely some statement-makers and limit-pushers. Don't leave me hangin' and make sure you come back to visit!

Another special thank you to the wonderful Lisa J Carter for these photos!

Floral Footprints

top, We the Free | pants, old | necklace, Forever 21 (love this one) | shoes, Steve Madden | purse, Ted Baker (new version) | sunnies, Tory Burch | watch, Michael Kors

Today is supposedly National Donut Day. I had two. Ugh. If only I could keep up my pre-Vegas diet post-Vegas.

This outfit would not be practical now in 109 degree weather, but for most of you who don't live in the desert, this is a perfect Friday-day-outing-outfit. Steve Madden shoes are just the best (please excuse my feet, it was ridiculously dirty walking around out there). I could live in this shirt, and I got these [$30] colored jeans from a small boutique in Tucson called Collette. I love supporting small boutiques and often, you get the best finds. Unfortunately I couldn't find anything remotely similar to these that are out right now. I will suggest that if you want to pay $30 for a comfortable pair that will last you a while, H&M jeans are some of my favorite.

Special thanks to Lisa J Carter for her wonderful photography.

Happy National Donut Day y'all!

These Boots Are Made For Walkin'...

blazer, H&M (old, similar) | pants, Armani Exchange (old, similar) | tee, H&M | necklace, old (love the simplicity of this one) | sunnies, Gucci | boots, (sale, splurge) | purse, love this one

Hi guys! Nikki here. First, I apologize for majorly slacking on my posts this past month. Things have been so crazy busy at work. I will get back on top of things. Promise! For now, enjoy this look my mom put together along with an update on her crazy busy month as well:

It's definitely been a busy month! To start, I had wonderful Mother's Day and my son graduated from ASU! I'm so proud of him and can't believe how fast the years have gone by. LOVE YOU!!

With all the craziness going on, it's so nice this outfit works for almost any occasion, and with the heat starting to roll in it looks cute with or without the jacket. It's simple and easy to throw together, which is what I love. The boots are the best! They add so much height to my 5'2" stature but are so comfortable.

I've also just volunteered at an animal rescue! I have wanted to do this for such a long time, and now have the opportunity to give back! These pets are taken from the pound's euthanasia list and are given a second chance. These pups have the most curious and loving personalities, and it's so gratifying to know that I can help these awesome, precious animals! So PLEASE, PLEASE think of rescuing a pet if you are thinking about getting one for you or your family!
