Timeless Love with JORD Wood Watches

Thor (fiance) and I don't typically go over the top for holidays. We don't feel it necessary when our weekends more often than not include dirty martinis in the Mastro's lounge. Sometimes, it's just nice to stay home and really enjoy each other's company in your own space, especially, since we just bought this charming new home in Scottsdale. We enjoyed our Valentine's morning drinking mimosas and he was so sweet to get me a bouquet of roses and the cutest card (sometimes, that's all a girl needs).

I was the one who went more overboard this year when I got him a beautiful handmade watch crafted entirely out of wood thanks to JORD Wood Watches. He needed something more casual for everyday wear, and what's a more perfect gift to show our love is timeless than a men's watch!? Cheesy? Whatever. That's about the sweetest I can get sometimes. The morning was amazing because LaMarca was involved. We sat outside on our patio while our dog tried to destroy the roses Thor gave me. Super romantic.

Regardless, we enjoy each other's company, and he was super excited that I was the one to go above and beyond this time! (Thor LOVES gifts; he's basically a woman). This is the photo that made the cut from my Uptown Phoenix Magazine shoot! I had such a great time being interviewed and shooting the photos. For this article, I really wanted to put together an outfit that reflected my personality the best way possible; and a girly skirt with a t-shirt and big fluffy, leopard coat absolutely nailed it. BOOM.

Ashley did such an amazing job on the pictures! My favorite by far. We found this building which totally had a Miami Vice in the 90s kind of feel. I love it. Thank you!

So winter has lasted a total of two weeks here in Arizona. It's already back up to the mid-60s, low-70s. And while I always told myself it might be fun to live on the East Coast... I was wrong. Thank God for the desert. Going out with a ton of layers is not my thing-- I already have a hard time carrying a purse!

As this outfit is about one year old (I wore it at the Waste Management Open last year; better get your tickets for Jan. 31st!), I still loooovveee it. And I think it's lame to be a "one and done" outfit kind of person. Props to the Duchess, Kate for agreeing. And the Jeffrey booties and Nasty Gal clutch. Enough said. The coffee might be my favorite accessory though.

This first week back to work was tough. I'm still not in the right mind set.

New Year's Resolution: BLOG MORE OFTEN.

I'll get a head start now and finish posting the rest of my photos from Ashley Luccitti Photography before the end of 2014. Being so busy with my full-time job, my only down time is reserved for Vanderpump Rules and indie films. I think it's time to change that now!

Obviously- we're in the middle of winter. But these photos and this outfit make me feel like it's 100 degrees out! And now that Christmas over, I'm already looking forward to spring. So I'll just daydream for a while in these pictures...

I had a great phone interview with Uptown Magazine today! It's a local magazine that targets the Biltmore, Arcadia and Central Phoenix area. I'm so thrilled to be featured in their "My Style" segment for the February issue. The article will address my blog, my job and of course, my style. I'll post it when it publishes!

Side note* Earlier this month I ran a 15K (9.3 miles) and had a better than expected finishing time of 1:23:00! I'm ready to take on at least 3+ half marathons in 2015 and have already started training. What are your New Year's resolutions?

Talk about a hybrid between Grease and circa 1990: the leggings, the hair clip, the bomber jacket. Bomber jackets are making a comeback, hand-in-hand with other 90s fads (i.e. overalls, flatforms, high-waisted jean shorts/skirts). AND I LOVE IT! 90s girl at heart.

This week is Phoenix Fashion Week!! It's my first year; I'm beyond excited. And I'm so behind on my blog posts because I've already been to a couple of #PHXFW bloggers events. I'll have them up and running as soon as I get my life together. Which will be soon. I made some major strides today.
